Siegfried Sword pin/pendant

Nothung, “Time of Need”, is the sword of the hero Siegfried in Wagner’s epic operatic cycle Der Ring des Nibelunge. With it Siegfried slays the fierce dragon Fafner, and wins the unsurpassable treasures of the Rheingold.

Our brooch-pendant is a miniature scale reproduction of the sword created for the 1988 complete ring cycle at the Metropolitan Opera. Original image on left.

24 Karat gold and silver plate over pewter. 18" Chain.
Measures approximately o.3" x 2.5".
