The earrings are inspired by the Greek necklace (shown above), in the form of pomegranates, which were symbols of fertility.

24 Karat gold-plate over pewter, enhanced by Carnelian bead. Gold-filled ear-wires.
Earrings measure approximately 0.4" x 1.25".
