Egyptian Fly necklace This is a museum replica of a Fly motif Egyptian necklace, originated in the 18th Dynasty, from the burial of Queen Ah-hotpe, Western Thebes. Inspired by the original image as shown above.
The gold Fly was a honorary award given to the Egyptian military for persistence in attacking the enemy.
24K gold-plate over pewter, enhanced by Carnelian beads. Measures approximately 16".
