Comedy/Tragedy Mask pendant

The mask is a form of disguise, an object that is frequently worn over or in front of the face, to hide the identity of a person and by its own features to establish another being. As cultural objects, the mask has been used in all periods since the Stone Age ,and had been as varied in appearance as in its use and symbolism.

Enameled 24K antique gold-plate over pewter. 18" Chain.
Measures approximately 1.5" x 1".
