Byzantine Cross pendant

Byzantine artists first created the medieval Cross image, which depicts a spiritual reality. This cross in its original context represented the Transfiguration of Christ.
      Enameled 24k gold plate over pewter. 18” Chain.
Measures approximately 1" x 1.5".
